Leicester based Clifton Packaging has won another award at the prestigious industry WorldStar Awards adding yet to its growing collection.
Nominations for WorldStar Awards can only be made if the company has won a major packaging award and for Clifton Packaging that was achieved when it won a Silver Star at the UK Packaging Awards at the end of last year.
Shahid Sheikh OBE, managing director of Clifton Packaging was in Dusseldorf, Germany to receive the award from Thomas Schneider, president of World Packaging Organisation (WPO). Mr Sheikh said, ‘I am absolutely delighted to have won a WorldStar award for our HopCraft Pouch. This product is a global first and has the potential to revolutionise the beer industry.
‘The pack is unique; no other packs in the market act like this or contain the technology or innovation that this pack does. It answered the brief to create “a revolutionary way to experience beer” and I am thrilled that the judges were also able to recognise its uniqueness and multiple innovations.’
The award came in the same month as Clifton Packaging won the Manufacturing Award at the Asian Business Awards back home in the UK.
