Glossop’s new kit includes an Aquaflex Varnica, an A1 exposure unit and an AQF900
Glossop Cartons has bought an Aquaflex Varnica plate making system from Dantex Group, including Star Plate software.
The company also bought an A1 exposure unit and an AQF900 plate making system. The new equipment provides Glossop with in-house control, improved lead times and reduced costs.
Managing director, Brian Sidebottom, said, ‘The internal control and enhanced turnaround times provided by this system is a huge benefit in both terms of cost saving and meeting customer demands. Being able to produce a plate from start to finish in less than two hours is a huge improvement to our previous methods.’
The Aquaflex Varnica plate making system offers superb quality, is high speed, cost effective, has long run capability, is ideal for spot varnish and eliminates the need for strippable blankets. With varnish applications increasingly adding a new dimension to packaging and with growing customer demand, Glossop felt it was important to be able to produce these specialist plates themselves.
Mr Sidebottom added, ‘We have dealt with Dantex for many years and therefore they were the perfect partner for this project. As ever, the installation, training and after sales support were smooth and trouble free. Glossop look forward to our continued relationship with Dantex and the success and benefits their products bring our business and production team.’
