MacDermid Graphics Solutions has launched LUX ITP MELO, a photopolymer sheet plate designed for low to medium post-print corrugated board.
With a 25 Shore A hardness, the plate reduces board crush and improves ink transfer on challenging corrugated substrates. Available in thicknesses 2.84-6.35mm, it features a dot profile that has been designed to reduce fluting without the use of additional platemaking techniques or exposure systems.

In feedback from trials and beta testing by customer Contact Originators, Les Jones, print innovation and product development manager commented, ‘LUX ITP MELO allowed fantastic ink transfer in all areas of the corrugated board. The need for excess pressure was minimised and damage to the substrate was avoided.’
