Torsten Berding, managing director of the Polish subsidiary of W&H

Machine-builder Windmöller & Hölscher has established a subsidiary company in Poland. Torsten Berding, sales manager Europe North, will take over as managing director at the new branch’s headquarters in Warsaw.

The company has been active in the Polish market for almost 30 years with a representative office. In the last five years, turnover in Poland  has doubled. With the establishment of the subsidiary in this growing market, W&H intends to improve its service offering with local technicians. Eight sales staff and service technicians will look after Polish customers and spare parts can also be ordered directly from Warsaw.

‘With the subsidiary sales and service unit we can expand locally,’ explained Mr Berding, ‘We can deliver a local contact speaking the language of the country.’

The Polish subsidiary will serve as a contact point for all W&H divisions including extrusion, printing and converting.
