UK-based UV curing systems manufacturer GEW has announced a series of senior management changes that mark the transition of leadership to the next generation within the family-owned company.
Rob Rae has been appointed managing director of GEW’s global operations and continues to serve as president of GEW. In his expanded role, he will oversee the company’s sales, marketing, and research and development functions.
Ele Neill (née Rae) takes on the role of company secretary and continues as global HR director. In addition to her human resources responsibilities, she will now oversee all financial matters across the business.
Company founders Malcolm and Gillian Rae will continue as executive directors, maintaining an active advisory role while supporting the next generation of leadership.
Both appointments reflect over a decade of experience with GEW. Rob Rae, who has been with the company for 13 years, has led the development of key technologies including the AeroLED and LeoLED curing systems. Under his leadership, GEW has recorded steady sales growth across all market sectors worldwide.
Ele Neill, also with 13 years at the company, has gained experience across operational functions. She has played a central role in international recruitment efforts and organisational development. “Only through our staff can long-term success be realised,” Ms Neill said.
“The time is right for these changes,” said Rob Rae. “The business is in a strong position, which allows my parents to take on more of a guiding role. Together we have built a company with a strong product range and a healthy pipeline of new developments. GEW is well positioned to prosper under its next generation of leadership.”
