A group of companies in the label and packaging sector has come together for a collaborative project ahead of Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona. The initiative involves the production of custom-designed crisp bags and chocolate pouches using Nilpeter’s FA-17 flexo press, showcasing current advancements in flexographic printing.
The packaging features a design inspired by Barcelona and Spanish culture, with creative input from all partners involved. The aim of the project is to demonstrate the capabilities of modern flexo printing, particularly its ability to deliver high-quality, visually striking results for flexible packaging.
The collaboration builds on an initiative that began over a decade ago between Synthogra, Nilpeter, GEW, and Flint Group. Originally conceived as a way to highlight the benefits of partnership in advancing flexo technology, the project has since expanded to include a wider range of industry stakeholders.
“When we started this journey with Nilpeter, GEW, and Flint Group, the idea was simple – to create something tangible that could showcase the very best of flexo printing and inspire others in the industry,” said Nanette Thomas, CEO of Synthogra. “Back then, it was a bold move to bring competitors and suppliers together in this way, but it worked. It created a ripple effect that we see much more of in the industry today. I’m proud to see how far this collaboration has come, and to welcome the many new partners who have joined along the way.”
Martin Teilberg, global marketing manager at Nilpeter, added: “Flexo has huge potential, and this project is the perfect way to show its versatility and quality. Just as important, it’s a chance to bring so many of our partners together, something we’ve now been doing for 12 years.”
