Trident UK, part of the packaging organization Sonoco Trident, has installed DuPont Cyrel Digiflow, making it the 150th installation of DuPont’s flexographic printing system.
The Cyrel Digiflow system gives Trident U.K the capability to deliver superior quality results, quickly and cost-effectively to meet the needs of its high-end consumer packaged goods (CPG) clients.
‘The brand managers that Sonoco Trident works with have extremely high expectations,’ said Julia Cox, senior commercial manager. ‘They demand precision in the printing process for absolute consistency and superior quality results that set their brands apart in the marketplace. Innovative solutions like Cyrel Digiflow allow us to offer our clients speed and flexibility, without sacrificing quality, and we’re confident in the technology based on our 20 year record of success working with DuPont.’
Cyrel DigiFlow is a digital workflow enhancement designed to expand the capabilities of digital Cyrel and digital Cyrel FAST to deliver superior print quality and productivity.
It adds a chamber that allows the creation of a controlled atmosphere during the main exposure, allowing one-to-one reproduction of image elements on the plate. This one-to-one reproduction is critical to optimising the effects of solid screening patterns. The Cyrel DigiFlow exposure units are designed for use on an ‘as-needed’ basis, and can easily be switched off when the standard digital dot is the preferred result. This feature makes it appealing to those flexo printers that require the ability to seamlessly switch between standard and flat top dots.
