Windmill Tapes & Labels has successfully achieved certification to the BRC/IoP Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials.
Following an audit in March 2015, the company was notified that it had achieved a Grade A pass with zero exclusions from scope. Ian Southern, co-director, said, ‘Windmill wishes to thank all staff for their hard work in achieving this standard, and in particular, the contribution from Ian Shaw of ISA who provided us with consultancy advice and support throughout the process.’
He continued, ‘Passing the standard means Windmill is able to pursue new markets and offer its customers confidence that it operates with robust hygiene, quality and production systems in place, and that quality is at the heart of everything we do.’
The Stockport-based company employs 50 people and supplies flexographic and digitally printed labels, and printed tapes, to a wide range of sectors including food and beverages, cosmetics and toiletries, pharmaceuticals, security, and automotive.
