GEW has developed the ArcLED lamp casing unit, which allows users investing in arch lamps to switch to LED lamps later using the same lamp head casing and power supply.
The LED cassettes are fitted as required along with a water cooling system. The casing automatically recognises which type of cassette is installed in the machine and adjusts the control accordingly.
According to the company the ArcLED is extremely energy efficient showing considerable energy savings when compared to conventional electronic power supplies. The unit switches seamlessly on the same press with the same power supply from DC power for the LEDs to high voltage AC for the arc lamps.
The combination of quick-swap lamp heads, reactive detection of the required power and automatic switching can optimise processes, maximise ink compatibility and increase machine productivity.
