A specialist in packaging artwork design, Kostym Design Industries, has been acquired by Marvaco Oy. This is the third acquisition that the Finnish pre-press company has made in Sweden within a space of short time.
Kai Lankinen, managing director, said that the acquisition will complement the operations offered to Nordic packaging brand and printing clients, with the company having an efficient and streamlined service chain and a good service capacity, ranging from designing the packaging to implementing the colour controlled printing.
Mr Lankinen said, ‘Our service selection now covers all relevant aspects both in Finland and in Sweden, which means we can better serve our international Nordic clients, in addition to local businesses.’
Helén Högberg, managing director of the €1 million turnover Swedish company, revealed that Kostym had been looking for a suitable packaging pre-press partner for some time. They were impressed by Marvaco’s positive attitude and internationally recognised, high-level know-how at the Scanpack exhibition last autumn, after which making a decision about the merger was easy.
