ETI Converting Equipment, manufacturer of in-line coating and printing equipment, has developed a new coating head capable of applying as little as 12 grams of UV hotmelt adhesive at 150m/min.
The new head is also capable of applying nine grams of regular hotmelt at the same speed.
This product gives a clear label without any marks or stripes and could have a real impact on printers’ margins since substantial savings could be achieved on both adhesives, particularly on the UV hotmelt, which is much more expensive. ETI already succeeded in applying 22 gsm of UV hotmelt adhesive at 150 m/min.
