Following continued uncertainty from government, the British Coatings Federation (BCF) and the British Adhesives and Sealants Association (BASA) have teamed up to shed light on how Brexit is expected to impact the industries.

The seminar, ‘Halfway to Brexit: government, supply chain and global industry perspectives’ features a high-profile range of industry and government speakers from the UK and the EU who will offer insight into the expected impacts of Brexit, from what it will mean for UK regulations, standards and the economy to the perspective from both inside and outside the EU.

Ellen Daniels, BCF’s head of public affairs and policy, said, ‘We are nearly one year from Brexit and whilst there is still much to be decided on, we’re starting to get a better picture from government of how Brexit might impact the coatings, adhesives and sealants industries. Our Halfway to Brexit seminar will provide insight into what’s going on in government and some thoughts from our colleagues across Europe.’

Lorna Williams, secretary of BASA said, ‘We’ve heard a lot lately about the developments made as we get closer to leaving the EU, but we still need clarity in terms of what this means for our industry. The goal of this seminar is to help answer some of the questions that remain in the industry, and help our members prepare for Brexit.’

The seminar takes place 11 April 2018 at the DoubleTree Hilton Nottingham-Gateway. To book a place at the event, and view the full programme for the day, visit www.coatings.org.uk/halfwaytobrexit
