Nick Kirby, Swanline CEO, said, ‘We are thrilled to be able to support Women in Packaging UK’s important work.’

Getting behind female packaging professionals, Swanline Print Group has pledged to sponsor Women in Packaging UK (WIP UK) throughout 2018, bolstering the initiative’s efforts to restore gender equilibrium through a range of opportunities from mentoring to networking events.

CEO Nick Kirby said, ‘Swanline is committed to influencing positive change and addressing the packaging industry’s gender imbalance. We are thrilled to be able to support Women in Packaging UK’s important work and to help the organisation create a stronger, more egalitarian sector.’

WIP UK is an organisation that connects and recognises women throughout the entire UK packaging supply chain.  The sponsorship will allow WIP UK to deliver more activities and events, providing collaborative networking opportunities that help women to gain the training and recognition needed to excel.

Joanna Stephenson, director of PHD marketing and strategy and co-founder of WIP UK, added, ‘As in many sectors, the packaging field is largely male-dominated, meaning females often face an uphill career struggle. It is vital that the industry comes together to tackle this issue and Swanline’s support throws down the gauntlet to other companies who believe in offering equal access to all.’
